DEMA Group is participating in the ‘Blue deal‘.
In the context of the river contract for the Zwalmbeek catchment area, DEMA Group has been awarded the water landscape project on the Wijlegemse beek by the Province of East Flanders.
The assignment was the preliminary design study for the construction of a flood area including a sediment trap on the Wijlegemsebeek, linked to a water storage basin, plus a network of pipes to the surrounding fields for irrigation purposes. The capture and supply of Scheldt water has also been added.
DEMA Group drew up a technical design, a cost estimate divided per component and a step-by-step plan for implementation.
